2013 Villa del Lago Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Villa Del Lago is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from his vineyard on Pritchard Hill. This is one of his magnificent wines, with loads of black raspberry, black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. The wine is stunningly full-bodied, opulence and beautiful purity and density. This flirts with perfection and is a great effort from this marvelous terroir high above Lake Hennessey. The wine can be approached now but won’t hit it’s peak for another 4-5 years and last 25-30.
