Tasting notes
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sunshine Valley Vineyard comes from the cooler, southern Oak Knoll region of the valley. It has a vivid blue/purple color and lots of bright blueberry and blackberry fruits as well as leafy tobacco and spring flower nuances. With medium to full-bodied richness, this is Napa at its most elegant and lively, with a good spine of acidity, present tannins, and just overall great balance. It's going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and cruise for two decades.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sunshine Valley Vineyard is a heady, exotic wine. Crème de cassis, raspberry, rose petal, mint and blood orange build as this unctuous, creamy Cabernet shows off its personality. The 2018 is an unabashedly flashy, opulent Cabernet that is immensely pleasing to taste, even in the early going.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sunshine Valley Vineyard comes skipping out of the glass with cheery, carefree scents of Morello cherries, raspberry coulis, wild blueberries and fresh blackcurrants plus hints of black tea, dried lavender and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-filling, bright, crunchy black and red fruits, framed by firm, grainy tannins and lively freshness, finishing long with bags of energy.
