Tasting notes
The more earthy side of the Beckstoffer portfolio is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard. Damp earth, unsmoked cigar tobacco, underbrush, forest floor, blackcurrants and black cherries are all present in this wine, which offers great fruit, plenty of minerality, and a multi-dimensional, layered mouthfeel. It should drink well for 25 years.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard has really come along beautifully. Full-throttle and intense, yet with a real sense of delineation, the Las Piedras is very nicely balanced throughout. Graphite, smoke, black cherry, plum and exotic spices are all finely sculpted in this highly expressive Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega.
Blackberry jam, crushed rocks, cloves, new leather and cassis are some of the notes that blossom from the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard. A deep, brooding wine, the 2013 possesses marvelous depth and textural richness, with plenty of Las Piedras energy to back it all up.
