The more restrained 2011 Pinot Noir Akiko’s Cuvee reveals a medium ruby/plum color in addition to more intense aromatics and additional tannin. Red cherry, wild strawberry, earth and spice notes are found in this reserved, moderately endowed Pinot. Elegance, finesse and freshness are the hallmarks of this 2011. It can be enjoyed over the next 4-5 years. Tel. (707) 823-6937

Vivid ruby. Black raspberry, cherry, rose and minerals on the highly perfumed nose. Sweet, pliant and focused, with musky red fruit and floral pastille flavors enlivened by tangy minerality and Asian spices. Sweet, round and fine-grained, with silky tannins adding shape to a long, sweet, floral-dominated finish. (JR)
