Score 87/100 · Drink 2016-2031, Robert Parker, Dec 2016
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Homeland seems somewhat monolithic compared to the Cemetery or the Camping Forever. It is chunky, juicy, has loads of concentration and extract, but lacks the nuance and potential complexity of the other cuvées. It is full-bodied and well-made, but didn’t quite sing to the extent that I would have expected. Drink it over the next 15 years.

The 2014 Homeland is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a vineyard in southern Napa Valley. Ripe, powerful and explosive on the palate, the Homeland is all about immediacy. Super-ripe red berry, spice and vanillin notes give the wine its racy personality. Best of all, the Homeland will drink well with minimal cellaring.
