All Tannat and 100% new oak. Blackish crimson. Some real lift on the nose and an artful combination of fruit and tannin with a very dry finish but well polished tannins – in abundance. Uncompromisingly for the long term – so much so it seems almost bitter on the finish at this early stage of its life, but I can see that within the context of Madiran it is a fine wine. For optimists. (JR)
