Score 88-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006
(61-year-old vines) Good medium red. Deeply pitched aromas of cherry and smoked meat. Sweet, broad and a bit peppery, without quite the precision of the Orveaux. In a more muscular style, and a bit drier. Firmly structured, but not overly tannic. Cathiard told me he prefers this to the Orveaux.

Scented, sweet and very flattering. Quite chewy and lots going on there. Quite sturdy for a 2004. (JR)
