Tasting notes
Very pale straw. Rather introvert and vegetal. Awkward acidity almost obscures the sweetness. Very jagged at the moment. I'd wait and hope. (JR)

100% Chenin Blanc. The soil type in Le Mont differs from the purer clay/tuffeau of the Clos de Bourg, exhibiting more silica and green clay in composition. These 15 year-old vines are hand-harvested, and follow much the same elaboration as the traditional white winemaking format, using natural yeasts. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Available from November. Off dry but high acidity makes it seem even fresher. Wonderful balance with great depth of apple and citrus and so much more complexity. Very long. Freshness creates a real wow factor even at the end of a tasting. (JH)
6.3 TA, 28 g/l RS Pale straw colour. Exciting, tangy, ripe expression of Chenin Blanc. Mainly floral nose but some tangerine notes. Lovely balance and already opulent. Very fine spine of acidity. Round and already very drinkable. RS not intrusive. (JR)
