Mortet produced 12 barrels of the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes from vines aged between 70 and 120 years old. Unwinding with scents of cassis, plums, smoked meats, rich soil tones and dark chocolate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and more structured than its communal junior sibling, with fine concentration and a muscular chassis of powdery tannin.
