Tasting notes
Mid ruby. Sweet and heady and pretty modern. Bitter cherries and energy. Drying finish but the fruit is fresh and energetic. A bit sour overall though. I marked down from 17. (JR)

Quite lifted with a bit of oak in evidence on the nose. Severe – even a hint of white spirit! – makes an impression but it's not very mellifluous. Still very unknit and a little bit more winemaking than vineyard in the messages it is sending out at present. (JR)
Very old vines – which I am not sure justifies the price difference. Certainly extremely voluptuous. One of the few 2006 noses that seduces on one sniff. Reverberates on the palate, but it’s still a little awkward. Just not quite comfortable enough for a higher score. (JR)
