Tasting notes
The 2015 Reserva de la Familia, a Brut Nature, is a classical blend of Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada that was kept in contact with the lees for 36 months, then disgorged and sold without any added sugar. It has frothy bubbles and a straightforward nose that mixes white fruit, some yeasty undertones and a soft, approachable palate. It's light and fresh, easy to drink. 1.5 million bottles. It's closed with a metal staple that requires a tool to be removed.

Vivid yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of pear nectar, yellow peach and buttered toast are energized by chalky mineral and floral accents. Fleshy and broad in the mouth, showing good clarity and juicy pit/orchard fruit flavors that become spicier on the back half. Honeysuckle and candied ginger notes emerge on a long, vaguely leesy finish that echoes the pear and mineral notes.
