Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2020-2026, Jancis Robinson MW, Sep 2020

50% Grenache, 30% Carignana, 10% Syrah, 10% others. Harvested 15–28 September 2018. Maceration/fermentation time: 20 days then undergoes malolactic fermentation. Aged for 12 months in old oak barrels of various sizes. Bottled 29 January 2020. RS 0.4 g/l, TA 5.9 g/l, pH 3.3, total SO2 40 mg/l. New to the range via young winemaker Fredi Torres. Lots of vitality and conviction here with a real core of exciting fruit and terroir influence. Interesting floral and strawberry notes and lots of juice, not one of the most concentrated or tannic Priorats but a good, interesting wine with a dry finish. (JR)
