Tasting notes
Supple and charming, Mortet's 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Ma Cuvée wafts from the glass with notes of red berries, plums and exotic spices, framed by a deft application of classy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with melting tannins and succulent acids, it's already drinking well.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin "Ma Cuvée" is quite high-toned on the nose with boysenberry and black cherry fruit, violet top notes emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy tannins, a mixture of blackberry and blueberry laced with citrus peel, hints of orange rind towards the finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth, but it possesses the substance to suggest that it will give 10-12 years of drinking pleasure.
