Made at 'one of the commune's most famous names' but sold to Farr and The Wine Society on condition that provenance is never revealed. This was very popular in the group of tasters, which included the Farr team and Sebastian Payne of TWS. Tasted blind. Deep garnet. Rich and ripe on the nose. Very ripe black fruit with sweet spice and sweet oak. Then unexpectedly silky and fine on the palate. Real elegance in the texture, refined, dry not drying. Long aftertaste. (JH)
