Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2013-2016, Jancis Robinson MW, Jun 2013

100% Chardonnay, all from from a flat Sonoma Valley alluvial site. 'Surface yeast islands' are referred to! Pale straw, not quite clear. Hint of cider on the nose. The merest hint of oxidation. But it's very tense and tingly on the finish and is admirably long and throat warming. At first I wasn't sure but the finish of this wine really seduced me. (JR)
