Good deep red. Captivating aromas of cherry, smoke, iron, earth and menthol. Following the collection of 2006s here, this showed more intensity and depth, not to mention a convincing personality. Finishes with excellent persistence and a suggestion of leather.

Bright ruby-red. Wild black raspberry, smoked meat and a minty nuance on the nose. Sweet on entry, but less expressive than the Greves, in a tougher, more solid style. But then this is Pommard. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins.
