Tasting notes
75% dry oloroso (Palomino) and 25% Moscatel from the bodega's own vineyards. (Moscatel only makes up less than 2% of all plantings in the Jerez region). Aged in oak barrels, using the traditional solera system, for about five years. Remarkably fresh for a cream sherry. Light kumquat tang, a drop of iodine, root beer, cherry cola and ginger nuts. It's sweet, but the tanginess is so bright that the sweetness fades to the background. Amazingly good with a mushroom and duck pâté. (TC)

75% 10-year-old Miraflores Oloroso and 25% Chipiona Moscatel blended and then aged for a further three years in chestnut barrels . Very pale amber. Very different – lighter and fresher – than most cream sherries. Good tang on the end – a lively sweet sherry with a story to tell. Clean, interesting and refreshing. GV (JR)
