Brick-rimmed light ruby. More intense than the Pecchenino Langhe Nebbiolo 2014, with the sweetness of red fruit and the start of some more autumnal development. Firm, compact, beautifully balanced and fresh. Still pretty chewy on the finish, though the texture is rather chalky. Needs food and/or time. (JH)

Mid ruby with narrow brickstone rim. Concentrated nose with hints of dried fruit and earthy notes. Surprisingly solid and closed on the palate and with plenty of ripe, sandy tannins. Skilfully oaked. (WS)
