2013 Del Dotto Vineyard 887 St. Helena American Oak Carved & Grooved Alain Fouquet Connoisseurs' Series Front

From St. Helena, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard 887 Family Reserve is another 100% Cabernet Sauvignon cuvée, and is by no means a wimpy wine at 15.6% alcohol. Very creamy, rich blackberry and blueberry liqueur, licorice, incense, camphor and graphite are all present in this stunner. This is a magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon and, again, another effort from De Dotto that flirts with a three-digit score. This is a 30-year wine that can be drunk in several years, but will age effortlessly. Kudos to the winery.
