100% Erbaluce trained on pergola Canavesana and trellis, and fermented and aged in stainless steel. Brilliant straw but this hasn't seen oak. Pretty genuine and true to this high-acid variety which I consider Piemonte's Riesling – it is not easy to mould this into something substantial, although it has plenty of potential and can make outstanding sweet wines. Leesy peach and lime nose and clean as a whistle. Very linear and lemony and not unlike a Clare or Eden Valley Riesling but leaner. For those who, like me, crave acidity. This has an interesting life ahead of it, no doubt. (WS)
