2014 Domaine Robert Sirugue Vosne-Romanée Les Petits Monts 1er Cru

Bright, dark red. Black cherry, menthol, licorice and herbs on the rather cool, medicinal nose. A bit clenched and dry on the palate, showing the herbal side of the vintage. Lacks generosity of texture and finishes with tongue-dusting, slightly drying, green-edged tannins. I'm not wild for the barrel treatment here and suspect this will dry out before its tannins mellow.
