Tasting notes
Certainly very ambitious, this bordeaux blend from Marilisa Allegrini's estate founded in 2001 but there are signed of dried fruit on the finish. It starts all alluring and velvety and there is ripe fruit on the mid palate but it falls away in the mouth and is not quite fresh enough for a higher score. (JR)

The 2009 Sondraia wraps around the palate with blackberries, smoke, licorice and new leather. Layers of flavor develop on the mid-palate, leading to the dark, brooding, totally explosive finish.
