Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2016

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Abel 1833, from Edge Hill's Mt. Veeder estate, is a powerful, explosive wine with huge fruit and intensity. A blast of dark cherry, plum, mocha and licorice makes a strong first impression. With time in the glass, the wine turns a bit more savory. Even so, a lighter hand might result in greater expression of site, something that is pretty much missing today.
