A solidly made effort, the dark garnet-colored, medium-bodied 2003 De Pez possesses notes of new saddle leather, forest floor and underbrush. It reveals a fully mature mouthfeel as well as some acidity. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

Looks quite evolved ruby. Aromatic, toasty nose. Very sweet start. Quite elegant. Though not quite complete. A little edgy. And hot. (Average group score: 15.7) (JR)
