The 1989 is rich and complex aromatically, as well as huge and massive. It exhibits great delineation, with enough freshness and vibrancy to make a strong case for this estate's 1989. It should age well for 20-25 years. Last tasted 11/94

Fairly pale color. Hint of licorice on the nose. Moderately viscous and fresh in the mouth; has decent weight and texture but lacks personality. The slightly harsh finish betrays some alcohol. Perhaps not quite enough supporting extract here.
