Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2013-2030, Jancis Robinson MW, May 2024

Tasted from magnum. Chardonnay. Very cool spring pushed bloom back all the way to 8 July. A cool summer. Harvest on 21 October due to forecast rain. Yields were 0.9 ton/acre with fruit chemistries of 21 Brix and pH 3.15. One of the few vintages in the last two decades that has necessitated chaptalisation. Medium gold in colour. Slightly muted. More minerality than fruit to the nose with an angelica-leaf spice and lovely sapid greenness. Fresh acidity with stone fruit and saffron to the finish. (SCJ)
