The translucent ruby-hued 2018 Esprit De Tablas offers some solid darker berry fruits as well as notes of ground pepper and violets. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, with a straight, focused texture, nicely integrated acidity, and the pure, balanced style that’s the hallmark of this estate. The blend is 40% Mourvedre, 27% Syrah, 23% Grenache, and the rest Counoise, all aged in foudre.

Deep, shimmering ruby. Intensely perfumed raspberry, boysenberry, baking spice and lavender scents show outstanding clarity and mineral lift. Stains the palate with lively red/blue fruit, spice-cake and floral pastille flavors that steadily deepen through the midpalate, with no loss of energy. Clings with noteworthy tenacity on an impressively long, energetic finish that features harmonious tannins and resonating floral and mineral notes.
The 2018 Esprit de Tablas has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and a nose of stewed tea leaves, orange peel, boysenberries, fragrant forest floor and aniseed. It's medium-bodied, soft, silky and juicy with perfumed fruits and a long finish.
Bright magenta. Powerful black and blue fruit, pungent floral and spice qualities on the deeply perfumed nose. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering bitter cherry, blueberry and spice flavors that pick up a smoky overtone with air. There's a compelling blend of richness and energy here. Fine-grained tannins lend gentle grip to a very long, lively finish that leaves behind a sexy violet pastille note.
