Score 15.5/20 · Drink 2021-2028, Walter Speller, jancisrobinson.com, Mar 2021

Fermentation in stainless steel with a total skin maceration of 18 days. Aged for 36 months in 30-hl Slavonian oak casks, followed by nine months in bottle. Mid ruby with a broad rim with orange tinges. Ripe, concentrated cherry with a suggestion of gingerbread and hints of cinnamon. A little bit stalky. Sour-cherry fruit on the palate framed by grainy tannins. Ends on a very tangy note, while the palate could do with more fruit. Slightly tart. (WS)
