Score 94+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2012

Pristine, powerfully mineral aromas of white peach, pineapple, white flowers, white pepper and menthol. Densely packed and austere, with a flavor of liquid rock. This is almost painful today and will need considerable bottle aging to come into harmony and express itself fully. After I swirled and spit, my palate didn't realize the wine was no longer in my mouth.

Really very smooth and complex and satisfying. Quite subtle but very bright fruit. Still quite chalky/minerally. Long. Great balance. (JR)

(early malo): Pure but subdued aromas of peach, flowers, spices and stone. Rich, round and ripe, with firm minerality giving the mouth and aftertaste a sappy, almost peppery quality. Very silky, long, saline wine with a palate-saturating aftertaste.
