Tasting notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Cade Estate combines fruit from the original vineyard and 13th Vineyard. It shows hints of pine and sage on the nose, accenting a base of ripe black cherries, while the full-bodied palate is concentrated. It's rich without being overdone, with a long, velvety finish.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley comes all from valley floor sites and is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Petit Verdot. This plush, full-bodied, sexy 2021 has terrific purity, lots of richness and glycerin, classic darker blue fruits, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It has the structure to benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and should have 15 years of prime drinking.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is wonderfully alluring. The purity of the fruit is quite striking. Bold and creamy, with terrific depth, the 2021 is surprisingly accessible for a young Howell Mountain Cabernet. Succulent dark plum, mocha, spice, leather and menthol are front and center. Dollops of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot add aromatic and flavor complexity.
