Score 88/100 · Drink 2016-2028, Robert Parker, Dec 2015
The 2013 Merlot seems somewhat one-dimensional compared to the Cabernet Franc and the Claret. It shows loads of depth and ripe fruit, and certainly is mouthfilling and savory, but just doesn’t have the nuance and complexity of the other wines. Nevertheless, I think there is more to emerge. It’s just a matter of time. Drink now-2028.

The 2013 Red Blend Claret is one of the highlights in this range from Constant. Truth be told, the five wines I tasted are all superb. Here there is a real sense of tannic backbone that supports the fruit and gives the wine its sense of proportion. A host of game, smoke, grilled herbs, incense, white pepper and bold, punchy red-fleshed fruit round out the finish.
