Barrel sample. 80% from Brochon. 60% whole bunch. The highest alcohol of his wines, and the last harvested. Mid crimson. A little darker fruited, darker red than the Chambolle but still deliciously fragrant. Real finesse and freshness here. Lively, fine boned and finishes dry, long and fresh. Masses of tension considering it was picked a little later than Duband might have wanted. Opens as it warms in the glass. (JH)
