Tasting notes
The 2014 La Carte et Le Territoire, Aaron Pott's Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend, is quite restrained in this vintage, but there is lovely purity to the flavors. Bright red cherry, mint, tobacco, licorice and wild herbs add an attractive upper register. This is the 2014 La Carte et Le Territoire as Aaron Pott transitions to a greater focus on estate vineyards.

The 2014 Merlot/Cabernet Franc La Carte et Le Territoire from St. Helena’s Young-Inglewood Vineyard is a mellow Cabernet Franc blend (70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc). Somewhat St.-Emilion-inspired, the wine has a dark ruby/plum/purple color, notes of Asian plum, black cherry, kirsch and sandalwood with roasted herbs and earth in the background. It is medium to full-bodied, fleshy, and best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
