Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru les Genevrières has a slightly richer bouquet than its peers, although it manages to retain excellent delineation, the oak neatly integrated with hazelnut and smoky scents steering you towards its place of origin. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, lively and vibrant, harmonious and racy with real tension towards the finish. This is simply excellent. Tasted May 2016.
