A dramatic combination of black truffle, flowers, roasted meat, ripe black cherry and chocolate rise from the glass of Potel’s 2005 Latricieres-Chambertin, which then paves the palate in wet stone, bitter chocolate, and cherry liqueur. For all of its creaminess of texture, enveloping side, clarity of fruit, and refinement of tannin, this finishes with an iron grip and an electric charge of spice and high-toned fruit esters.
