Aniseed, leather, violets, cherry blossom, high floral notes. Soft raspberry fruit, moderate tannins, a warm finish and savoury spice. Sweet and ripe fruit that is silky smooth and great quality flavours, but seems to have neither the structure to age nor the complexity to justify a super-premium price. [Added after the wine was revealed: A victim of heatstroke?] (RH)
