Tasting notes
Pure, rather simple red fruit on the not quite clean nose, Just a hint of rawness but certainly pure. Very sweet and direct. This wine sings, to nab a Coatesism. Very pure indeed. Polished tannins. (JR)

(racked a week before my tasting) Medium red. Lively aromas of raspberry, minerals, flowers and menthol. Suave, sappy and juicy, with lovely sneaky flavor intensity to the deep red fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes quite dry and pure, with building, dusty tannins, firm mineral grip and lovely lingering perfume.
Here the nose is much more reserved if not backwards with a wonderfully spicy and slightly riper blend of red, blue and violet aromas that are also extremely seductive while dissolving into precise, dusty, intense and balanced flavors that offer up even more minerality than usual on the vibrant and driving finish. This should mature over the next decade and drink well for another. Allen Meadows, Burghound Jan01,2008
