Score 93/100 · Drink 2016-2023, Robert Parker, Mar 2016
The 2013 Pinot Noir Bastard Tongue is the largest production cuvée (150 cases) and is equal parts Dijon 115 and the heritage Swan clone of Pinot Noir. More strawberry and kirsch are reminiscent of a premier cru from the Côte de Beaune. Some forest floor, earth and spice are also present in this wine, which has loads of fruit, a long, lush mouthfeel, and irresistible personality. The 100% new oak it was aged in is barely noticeable. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
