2013 Mirror Cabernet Sauvignon Cimarossa Vineyard

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain seems more closed and plays it closer to the vest, as this comes from the Cimarossa Vineyard in Howell Mountain at a 2,100-foot elevation. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 24 months in 75% new French oak. Ultimately, this wine could actually eclipse the other two Cabernets, but it seemed tightly coiled when I had it, with the tannins present, an opaque ruby/purple color, some mulberry, graphite and blackcurrant fruit, but hard to coax out of its shell. Forget it for 3-4 years and drink it over the following 15 or more.
