2000 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Corton Clos Rognet Grand Cru

(virtually always a wine with major alcoholic clout, this is just under 14% without chaptalization) Full medium ruby. Nose dominated by black cherry and spicy oak. Dense, fat and sweet, but currently rather monolithic, as this wine often is at this stage. Seems a bit less exotic than the '99, and considerably oakier on the back end, with strong torrefaction notes and a hint of dryness.
