Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2024-2032, Jancis Robinson MW, Sep 2024

Full, heavy bottle 1,790 g. A blend of 58% Merlot and 42% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 19 months in 75% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 275 cases produced. Smells of struck match and dark plum fruit. Flavours of plum and cherry mix with dried herbs and crushed nuts as hints of flowers and sweet oak linger in the finish. Lightly grippy tannins stiffen over time but remain pretty and supple, with a powdery grain. Excellent acidity rounds out a very impressive package. (AY)
