Full bottle 1,340 g. 40-year-old vines. From a single vineyard in the lieu-dit Le Moulin-à-Vent. Aged 17 months in barrel. Wax seal. Pale garnet hue. Restrained but intense, the oak completely absorbed, the fruit just hovering in the background. Ripe but poised on the palate, the texture silky and the impressive tannins finely honed. Perhaps lacks a little freshness but serious and composed. (JL)
