Tasting notes
Opening with aromas of toast and flint, the 2010 Chardonnay also offers scents of red apple skin, white peaches, sour lemon, hay and button mushroom, with the first touches of caramel-like nuance coming through with time. The palate offers up lush, ripe fruits with loads of spicy accents, silky and finishing long and textured.

The 2010 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is gorgeous. Nectarine, flowers, honey, mint, pastry and sweet spices all flesh out in the glass. Stylistically the 2010 is a bit bigger and richer than most HdV wines because of the heat spikes, but over the last year the wine seems to have found its sense of energy, tension and minerality. The finish is long, supple and caressing. Today the 2010 is in a beautiful place right now.
The 2010 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is beautifully alive in the glass. Bright floral notes and layers of rich, expressive fruit fill out the wine’s broad shoulders nicely. Multi-dimensional and constantly changing in the glass, the 2010 impresses for its crystalline purity and total finesse.
