Score 86/100 · Drink 1990-1994, Robert Parker, Jan 1990

As usual, good rather than exhilarating wines were made at this famous estate in Chambolle-Musigny. Despite reports that quality here has returned to the form of the 1972 and prior vintages, I remain convinced that this property is producing entirely too much wine to obtain the concentration necessary. What's more, its decision to filter its wines a decade ago has stripped many of the wines of at least 30% of their potential bouquet and flavor. This is a light, fruity, elegant, somewhat charming wine, but it is grossly overpriced and must be drunk by 1993-1994 before its fragile fruit fades away.
