Deep blackish garnet with an aged rim. Heady, intense and hedonistic. Minty and very Australian. Bone-dry finish. Lots of cassis. (JR)

Meaty, bloody, charred, dried fruit. There's lovely subtlety to this wine now, a gracefulness that is perhaps not usually associated with Shiraz of this style. It's one to drink soon. (RH)

Toasted cereal, sweet coffee. Lots of tertiary character, and the palate is a little parched and spiky for me, with dried fruit. I love the esoteric nose, but the palate is perhaps a little flat. (RH)

In a great place and aging so well, this has arrived at a fully mature moment, with earthy elements, as well as leather and spiced dried plums. Some flesh on the palate with ripe blackberries, set on super fine tannins. Complete. Drink now.
