92% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc. Thick and rich and concentrated with masses of tannin and probably great with the right food. Real vitality. (JR)

Tasted blind. Quite an intense crimson. Drying tannins on the end – rather forced. A bit like a ‘modern’ St-Émilion. (JR)

Toasted oak gives a charred aroma to the nose, plus baked black fruits and smooth texture. Supple, fragrant and flavoursome with a long persistence driven by impressive fruit concentration. After the oak-dominated start, this turns into a solid, lengthy wine with plenty more potential. (RH)
