2007 Brunello di Montalcino

Medium red. Slightly reduced aromas of smoky plum, mocha and underbrush. Supple and sweet on the front half, with smoke and meat flavors, then a bit brooding and drier toward the back. The chewy finish features dusty tannins, a hint of unabsorbed acidity and a note of bitter chocolate.
