Score 90/100 · Drink 2001-2008, Robert Parker, Jan 2000
The impressive, dark ruby-colored 1997 Pinot Noir Camp Meeting Ridge displays a floral and black fruit-scented nose with sweet vanilla in the background. More structured than the Hirsch, with outstanding purity and concentration, this tight but full-bodied Pinot Noir will be even better with another 6-12 months of bottle age. It will last for 7-8 years. This enterprise with well-placed Sonoma Coast vineyards (next to the Marcassin Vineyard and Martinelli's Blue Slide Vineyard) displays considerable promise. Tel.
