The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Combottes is beautifully sensual and charming, bursting with aromas of sweet red berries, exotic spices, orange zest and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with a seamless core of succulent fruit, supple tannins, lively acids and a pure, mineral finish, it will offer a broad drinking window.
0.27 ha (0.67 acre). Cask sample. Mid cherry. There’s a fine pierre-à-fusil or gunflint note on the nose. The fruits are red-berried and dark-fruited, cherries and raspberries, and the wine is surprisingly intensely structured. (MH)
