Tasting notes
The 2013 Chardonnay Peter Martin Ray Vineyard shows the more phenolic intensity of the Santa Cruz Mountains in its sense of structure. Sage, mint, dried apricot, dried peach and slate are all nicely delineated in the glass. Delicate yet also powerful, the 2013 offers striking contrast between its elements.

The 2013 Chardonnay Peter Martin Ray Vineyard stands out for its textural breadth and richness. Almond, pear, spice and intense mineral notes fill out the wine's ample frame quite nicely. A wine of gorgeous contrasts, the Peter Martin Ray is layered, creamy on the palate and also quite saline, all at the same time. If that sounds appealing, well, it is. Subtle hints of dried pear, spice and almonds add the final notes of complexity.
